Toddlers
Toddler Program (1 – 2 Years)
Highland Day School’s Toddler Program is designed to support children during one of the most exciting stages of development.
As toddlers begin to walk, talk, explore, and assert independence, we provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where they can grow with confidence.
Continuing the mission of Highland Children’s Ministry, our program nurtures each child spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically. We understand that toddlers are naturally curious and eager to discover the world around them. Our caring teachers guide that curiosity through hands-on learning experiences and gentle, consistent support.
Learning Through Play
At this age, learning happens best through play and interaction. Our curriculum introduces early foundational skills in a fun and engaging way, including:
- Language development through songs, stories, and conversation
- Fine and gross motor skill activities
- Sensory play and creative exploration
- Introduction to colors, shapes, and simple concepts
- Social interaction and cooperative play
Each activity is thoughtfully planned to meet developmental milestones while allowing toddlers to learn at their own pace.
We will love and nurture each student as they are masterpieces created by God.
Play will be a central part of each day. We will provide opportunities for our students to learn naturally in a comfortable safe environment.
Each student will learn the academic and social skills they need to be successful in their academic career and throughout life.
