Two year old program
Highland Day School's two year old program is designed to foster growth and independence through developmentally appropriate milestones.
In the two year old classes the teachers focus on language, communication, movement, and social emotional development.
Hands on Learning
At this stage of development children learn best through hands on experiences. The teachers in these classes choose playful activities to keep children engaged to encourage:
- Practicing problem solving for growth in cognitive development
- Physical development in both fine and gross motor skills
- Social and Emotional skills
- Increasing language and communication capabilities
Teachers meet each child where they are at developmentally and use activities to encourage growth at each child’s pace.
We will love and nurture each student as they are masterpieces created by God.
Play will be a central part of each day. We will provide opportunities for our students to learn naturally in a comfortable safe environment.
Each student will learn the academic and social skills they need to be successful in their academic career and throughout life.
